Scorer Training Instructions

Here, you will get information on how to score constructed response questions. Then you can practice scoring student sample answers yourself. You will:

• See a question and its scoring guidelines – Here, you can see the actual question and the scoring guidelines for all possible points for that question. Click “Next” to see more training examples.
• See training examples – Here, you can see how some answers were scored. You should look at the notes for each sample answer and see how they match the scoring guidelines for each point.
• Practice scoring – Here, you can practice scoring answers yourself. If you score any answer incorrectly, an explanation will tell you why the score is incorrect.

You will see a summary of your results at the end of your training.
